His last moments on earth...

He was reported to have been found dead outside the Top Gun Shooting Range (Houston, Texas) on Saturday, October 28, 2006 as conveyed by his brother-in-law at this namaz-e-janaza (prayer). His body was requested to be transported to India by his family as per his brother-in-law's account. 'Suniet' Sethi converted from a Hindu to a Muslim (Yaseen Sethi) when he married about 6-7 years. He has one daughter.

Some comments from near and far...

It is heartbreaking to know that a person I cherished a lot, a person of magnitude, respect and a smile to die for passed away. I knew Sethi for a long time and always have been amazed by his integrity. My couple of last meetings with Sethi left a spirited mark, he smiled in this most difficult of times and the only image i could leave behind is his last smiling face and a gesture of compassionate blessings. Sethi was an amazing person and no words can define him, he lived for his wife and daughter, always trying to think positive and ahead, I cannot swallow the fact that Sethi is no more among us but one thing i will remember is you, for it is very seldom you find a smiling face and compassion for others in your own times for difficulties, Sethi you will be missed and I pray that god open up the doors of heaven and grant you happiness everafter. - Hussain Mandviwala

Our heart-felt condolences to the Sethi family - and to all those for whom he was a family - including our friend circle. May Almighty Allah bless him with a place in Jannat. Sethi will be missed a lot and he leaves behind a huge vacumm in our friend circle and in the life of our little Dua. May Almightly Allah give her strength and courage to live through this painful agony of losing her dear father.

Ameen.

Our prayers are with the little angel,

Pervez & Samina

Assalam-O-Alaikum everyone:

Indeed Sethi will be missed. He was an excellent, kind, loving, and nonviolent human being. You might hear a lot of things about him, a lot of half-truths and blatant lies. History is the biggest teacher and example for us on what people are like... Allah says in the Quran:

Truly, nothing is hidden from Allah, in the earth or in the heavens.
( سورة آل عمران , Aal-e-Imran, Chapter #3, Verse #5)

And with Him are the keys of the Ghaib (all that is hidden), none knows them but He. And He knows whatever there is in (or on) the earth and in the sea; not a leaf falls, but he knows it. There is not a grain in the darkness of the earth nor anything fresh or dry, but is written in a Clear Record.
( سورة الأنعام , Al-Anaam, Chapter #6 , Verse #59)

And We shall set up balances of justice on the Day of Resurrection, then none will be dealt with unjustly in anything. And if there be the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it. And Sufficient are We as Reckoners.
( سورة الأنبياء , Al-Anbiya, Chapter #21, Verse #47)

Allah knows what happened and nothing is hidden from him. Let us pray for his soul and hope that we would meet yet again after death. I know I miss Sethi and will never forget him. He is my friend, and always will be. Rest in peace my brother.
